About this cottage rental
Treat yourself to a traditional seaside getaway in the heart of Southwold while staying in a fisherman’s cottage near the beach. This three-bedroom property is ideal for a group of friends or family who wish to be surrounded by amenities while also having the nature of the Suffolk Coast and Heaths Area of Oustanding Beauty nearby to explore. Spend your evenings relaxing in the cheerfully decorated lounge with a splash of bold colour and a warming wood burner, or dine alfresco in the sheltered courtyard.
Inside the cottage is a comfortable lounge with three plump sofas surrounding the exposed brick fireplace with a wood burner and a SmartTV. Cook a special meal for your guests in the bright galley kitchen with coastal colours and sparkling surfaces. When it’s time to tuck in, sit around the table in the quirky yellow dining room. Also on the ground floor is a separate WC. Upstairs are two family bathrooms plus three bedrooms – a super-king with a TV, a twin zip-and-link with a TV plus another twin room. Outside is a courtyard with furniture, a gas BBQ and an outside utility room.
While staying in the heart of Southwold, start your day with a stroll along the high street (less than 500 metres) where you’ll find a selection of shops, an art gallery, a tea room, a deli and numerous restaurants. Discover the local historical landmarks – like the Southwold Cannons and Southwold Lighthouse (both within 0.5 miles). Go for a swim in the sea at Southwold Beach (0.5 miles). Further afield is the Southwold Maize Maze (2 miles), a zoo (8 miles) and a go-karting track (10.5 miles). Put on your hiking boots and explore the Benacre National Nature Reserve (5.5 miles).
