This cozy attic apartment is situated beneath a traditional thatched roof and offers a lovely retreat for guests who wish to enjoy nature, tranquility, and the special atmosphere of the Fischland-Darß-Zingst peninsula.
Born is considered one of the most unspoiled villages on the Darß. Thatched-roof houses, small harbors, old trees, and vast Bodden meadows characterize the village’s landscape. At the same time, the village offers a good tourist infrastructure with restaurants, cafés, shopping, bike rentals, and cultural attractions such as the Darß Summer Theater and the Forest and Hunting Museum.
The surrounding area is ideal for active vacations and relaxing nature experiences. The Baltic Sea Coastal Bike Trail runs right past the house, inviting you to take extended bike tours across the peninsula. The Bodden, with its vast meadows and bodies of water, is just a few minutes away and offers wonderful opportunities for walks, water sports, or nature observation.
The Darß Forest, with its ancient beech trees, is also within easy reach and leads to the famous Weststrand, one of the most unspoiled beaches in Europe. It takes about 25 minutes to reach it by bike, or just a few minutes by car via the Vordarß parking lot.
Numerous other attractions are also nearby. The entrance to the Bodden is about 300 meters away. The port of Born is about 1.2 kilometers away. Restaurants and a bakery are about 750 meters away. The Boddenbrise vacation rental is a cozy attic apartment on the first floor under a traditional thatched roof and offers approximately 50 square meters of living space. It is ideal for two people; a third person can be accommodated upon request.
The central living area combines living, dining, and cooking in one open space. Here you’ll find a comfortable corner sofa (since 2026) that invites you to relax. There is no sleeping area in the living room. A dining table that seats up to four people connects the living area to the fully equipped built-in kitchen. Kitchen amenities include, among other things, a glass-ceramic cooktop, oven, dishwasher, refrigerator with freezer compartment, filter coffee maker, capsule coffee machine, electric kettle, and toaster. A special feature is the Maunawai home filtration system, which allows guests to enjoy freshly filtered and mineralized drinking water straight from the tap at any time.
The separate bedroom features a solid-wood double bed with high-quality natural mattresses made of horsehair and sheep’s wool, as well as a Bonnell spring core, which ensure a comfortable sleeping environment. An additional single bed is available in the bedroom for a third person. A large wardrobe in the sloped ceiling area and a solid wood dresser provide ample storage space.
The bathroom is equipped with a shower, sink, and toilet. A hair dryer is provided. The window offers a side view of the Bodden.
