Great hotel in the middle of downtown medellin. Highly recommend

Overall, what you get is what you paid for. The location is close to San Antonio where the two Metro lines cross, thus, is very convenient. The rooms have been recently renovated, however, the quality of renovatiion is typical in under developing countries. The reception stuff was very friendly and kind. When we came back from sightseeing in the city, she offered free water/coffee. The only problem we had is housekeeping. In the Saturday evening, we found our room has not been serviced. We basically care for cleaning, however, we have a concern with the towels and bath mat. I spoke to the reception and he provided us with two new bath towels. We found there was no bath mat, we asked for it. He said nothing is available because housekeeping is not on duty during the week end. We were not happy with his answer because a bath mat or some substitution is included in the rate. He simply repeated the same answer and we could not stand with that situation. A couple of minutes late, I came down to the reception and found one new towel on the counter. I instantly snatched it and brought it back to the room for a bath mat. Nothins happend after this. The towel might have been prepared for another room, but is is not our business. I guess the guy at the reception in the Sunday evening was a part-time worker and didn't know how to cope with possible problems. So, if you plan to stay during weekend, please be prepared for a similar problem. Other than that, this is a good hotel with the rate appropriate for the service.
