About this cottage rental
Dunmore Cottage is arranged over a single level and designed for comfort and ease. The master bedroom and living room both enjoy beautiful views across the loch, while the kitchen and second bedroom overlook the peaceful rear garden. There are a couple of steps leading to the front door, but once inside the cottage everything is on one level, making it potentially suitable for guests with limited mobility.
Both bedrooms feature attractive solid wooden furniture and high-quality luxury bedding to ensure a restful stay.
The well-equipped kitchen includes a fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, kettle, toaster and all the usual cookware and utensils needed for a comfortable self-catering stay. A cosy dining area sits in the corner of the living room, which is furnished with comfortable seating and an electric fire for relaxing evenings in. You'll also find a traditional Scottish pulley drying rack for convenient indoor clothes drying.
The shower room is located at the rear of the property and is fitted with grab handles and a folding shower seat to assist guests with reduced mobility.
Outside, there is paved parking beside the cottage. To the rear, a covered patio area provides a sheltered space to relax outdoors, allowing guests to enjoy the fresh air even when the Scottish weather is a little unpredictable.
Dunmore Cottage is very family-friendly. A travel cot and highchair are available free of charge (we simply ask that they are cleaned and stored away on departure). The kitchen is stocked with children's crockery, and guests are welcome to use the selection of books, games and DVDs provided.
Pets are very welcome and are sure to enjoy the surrounding outdoor space. The cottage is set within open garden grounds with a large exercise area to the side; however, please note that the garden is not fenced. A charge of £10 per pet applies. Guests are asked to bring their pet's bed and throws if there is any possibility they may climb onto the furniture.
The cottage is just a short drive from the picturesque fishing village of Tarbert, which offers a good selection of shops, cafés and restaurants. Tarbert also hosts several popular events throughout the year, including the Scottish Series regatta, the Seafood Festival and Live at the Loch.
For guests with mobility considerations, the ground-floor layout and minimal steps may make the property suitable, and the covered area at the rear may also provide space for storing a wheelchair or walking aid.
