Coulee Estate - Hot Tub, Pool Table, Sleeps 10

For 10 of us, 5 siblings and spouses, from 4 different towns, it was a large, quiet space for us to enjoy each other's company. We had not all been together since September 2024. The large, open kitchen, living room, dining room was perfect for us. We mostly dined in, with each bringing food. We found a wonderful bbq outside on the spacious patio, adequate fridge/freezer space, plenty of dishes, pots/pans and cooking utensils. The griddle on the gas stovetop came in very handy as one sister brought ingredients to serve pancakes for brunch. We had been told there was salt, pepper, and oil available, but also found a well stocked spice rack, mustard, ketchup and relish that we did not expect. The outdoor seating was very comfortable and shaded in places. The indoor dining table sat all 10 of us on cushioned chairs. The beds were also very comfortable. 2 of our vehicles used the garage to park and 3 were on the driveway. We had no kids along but knew our grandchildren would have all enjoyed the playground area were they with us. Situated in East Coulee, it is a short drive to Drumheller, but of little consequence for us since we were prepared to share rides to Rosebud and the Badlands Passion Play. The Hoodoos and Coalmine Museum would have been very near, but we had already visited them together in 2018. The central air conditioning in the house was extremely welcome as the outdoor temps were in the 30s C. while we stayed.

We had a little difficulty starting up the oven and microwave since we are elders and used to less complicated appliances, but when advised after we left, Megan has already said she would make some instructions. A very minor issue. I am sure if we had not eventually figured it out ourselves, she would have advised us if we had contacted her at the time.
