Tout était parfait, l’accueil était absolument génial, le staff est incroyable les gens sont d’une parfaite gentillesse, très attentionnés, tout est propre, la cuisine est impeccable ! Arjun le manager m’a accueilli avec beaucoup de gentillesse et Ritik le chef cuisinier m’ont réellement fait sentir à la maison avec des frères! Puis j’ai fait le safari qu’ils organisent, et vous partage ci dessous mon expérience: In-croy-able!! C’était absolument génial, je cherchais un safari qui ne ressemblerait pas à une attraction touristique basique, et je dois avouer que celui-ci correspondait parfaitement à ce que je recherchais! Tout d’abord, nous sommes partis de Jaisalmer en Jeep pour rejoindre le Khabah Fort Old Museum, un fort magnifique dans le désert surplombant les ruines d’une ville servant autrefois de point de passage pour la route de la soie! Puis le réel safari a débuté lorsque notre guide nous déposa au milieu de la route, où nous sommes montés sur nos chameaux. Après une bonne demie-heure de route au milieu de la brousse, nous atteignîmes les dunes de sables, pile à temps pour le coucher de soleil! Digne d’un film! Nous étions accompagnés de 3 jeunes locaux, qui nous partagèrent leurs expériences et leur habitudes lors de leurs excursions désertiques! Un cadre rudimentaire: cuisine au feu de bois, un simple matelas et une grosse couverture pour une nuit à la belle étoile qui sera, sans le moindre doute, inoubliable. Ce safari représentera pour moi le plus beau moment de ce voyage, intense en émotions, simplicité et joie de profiter des choses simples mais si belles! Amis, n’hésitez pas, car jamais vous ne regretterez d’avoir vécu cette expérience. Ces souvenirs resterons à jamais gravés dans ma mémoire! Merci!

I stayed 1 night at Little Jaisal Retreat and I just loved it. The owner Arjun is a genial host who is rightly proud of his hotel's reputation. Rather than resting on his laurels, he is always putting the work in to improve things. He really makes guests feel well looked after - for example, on finding out I'm gluten intolerant, he went out of his way to find me local snacks made with gluten free flours to try (they were delicious!) and even made some for me himself as well. He takes takes time to chat to guests, which creates a friendly atmosphere. It's the kind of place where guests talk to each other and you meet interesting people. Raj vasu ritik and the rest of the team do a great job, and their friendly, helpful attitude makes the hotel really stand out. The decor is lovely and there's a fantastic roof terrace restaurant with spectacular views of the fort. I was definitely glad to be staying outside the fort. For a start, water usage by hotels in the fort is causing serious conservation issues, but also, I just found there was too much tourist hustle in the fort. Visiting the sights there is fine but I wouldn't want to stay in that area. Little Jaisal is in a more peaceful part of town but is only about 5 minutes' walk from the fort gate. The desert trip organised by the hotel was magical. We visited a deserted village, oasis and fort before going for camel ride to the dunes where a tasty dinner was cooked for us in a peaceful spot away from other tourists. We headed back to the hotel for the night, but there was also the option to sleep in the desert under the stars. All in all, a fantastic stay and I would love to come back!
