Very clean and serene environment. Great location and ambiance

Toilet seat not screwed to w/c

Looks good on first arrival. The room was easy to access with the keysafe. Once in, most areas are spotlessly clean. Shower gel provided. There's plenty of storage space for belongings in drawers and a wardrobe and we liked that we had a little sofa to chill in a separate area from the bed.

There was no hand soap, only a pump bottle of antibac gel. The mattress on the bed is way too soft, and still covered in a plastic wrapping under the bottom sheet. Hence the mattress slides around on the bed base, makes you super hot at night, and kept me awake with the crinkling. Only one bath towel left despite two of us on the booking and only half a toilet roll, which wasn't enough. The windowsill, which one side of the bed is up against isn't clean. In addition, I'd specifically booked this room because it was advertised as having free WiFi and I had important work I needed to getv done that evening. Trust me when I say, *there is no WiFi*. No router anywhere visible in the property and the host neglected to respond to me in good time about the lack of toilet rolls or towels and totally avoided the question of "what's the WiFi code please?" A bedside table next to the bed would allow for phone charging, drink beside the bed and maybe a lamp. We used the chair provided when the table in the other half of the room as a makeshift bedside table instead. There was no bin in the room or in the en-suite bathroom. We had to find a carrier bag and hang it on the door handle. The property has the potential to be really great, but at the moment is lacking in some really basic things.
