LIVN West Loop Chicago King Studio

Location was excellent for Union Station. Good facilities inside , and access was straightforward. I particularly appreciated the luggage lockers.

Quite thin walled - we could overhear conversations going on in adjacent rooms, and the street was noisy. I also would have appreciated some acknowledgement or confirmation when I responded to messages from the management offering a late checkout for a fee. I took that offer, but didn’t hear anything back despite sending a message. On the morning of checkout, we got a message telling us to checkout at usual time, despite the fee having already been paid. I went downstairs and found a staff person (there’s no actual desk that I could see) who said they would check for us - but we never did hear back. Our door codes worked till late checkout time though so all in all it was ok, but it’d be more helpful to communicate a bit more actively.

The staff was supper helpful and friendly! The location was also a plus!

I loved the location and the optional luggage lockers available before/after check in. It was very clean and was perfect for what we needed. Location allowed us to easily arrive from the train station and go back in the morning. Loved that we were able to check in almost 2 hours early since staff saw us waiting and the room was already cleaned and ready (despite us only paying for the 1 hour early check in). Staff was super nice and I had no worries about cleanliness, safety, or comfortability.

It wasn't the most quiet place I've ever stayed. Obviously being in the city there's road noise, but you can sometimes hear other tenants or pipes. It really wasn't an issue for us though as we were either not in the room or coming back from an exhausting concert. Just something to keep in mind if you're somebody who needs 100% quiet.
