There was so much for the kids to do and it was walking distance to stores and little places to eat. It was more affordable than hotels with so much more space and comfort for a family. The kids never once said "Im bored" in the evenings when we got back.
My kids loved the basketball game in their room but I would recommend silent indoor basketballs instead cause the sounds of the balls hitting against the back of the living room wall was really loud and we worried about them breaking something.
At first I thought it would be nice being so close to a little tavern in case we wanted to leave the kids with my mom and go grab a drink but the first night there was loud yelling from a bar fight right outside. The bakery next store asked us to call 911 for them cause he had started there before going to the tavern. It was likely a rare incident though, and the bakery did apologize the next day, reassured us that the guy is no longer allowed at the tavern, and they gave us some amazing banana muffins.
