Pipeline Tropical Bungalow

The host was exceptionally good hearted and went above and beyond to big time help me when he definitely did not have to. Stay here if it’s important for you to book with a genuinely caring host and support local. Rodrigo was the best!

Skvělé místo kousek od oceánu.

Podlaha a koupelna nebyla čistá, na zemi byl písek a nějaký nepořádek. V koupelně a v kuchyni bylo spousty věcí, které jsme nevěděli, jestli jsou majitelů nebo bývalých návštěvníků. Klimatizace nesměla jet moc dlouho, jinak nám nešel proud - toto se nám stalo i potom, co jsme AC měli puštěnou jen dvě hodiny, neboť v domečku bylo neuvěřitelné vedro. Majitelé nám stále pendlovali kolem domečku, chodili si do lednice (ta byla venku s kuchyni) pro své věci. My měli vlastní lednici na pokoji.

It’s completely off grid, so you have to be okay with that.

The location is great for exploring the North Shore. The bungalow is cozy but it’s definitely more like glamping than anything. I think the place would be fine to share for a bunch of surfer buddies but it’s a bit weird for a family.

The bathroom situation was weird. The toilet is inside the room which makes it awkward if you are sharing the room. There is no outhouse or any other bathroom option outside anywhere. I think the whole place is ran on solar so in the morning we lost power and couldn’t flush the toilet. In order to use the AC in the room my husband had to go plug it in outside himself. To take the shared shower (outside in a separate shack), there were also multiple things you had to turn on yourself or ask the host every time. The place is ok if you are expecting all of this and prepared but I couldn’t wait to leave at 6 am! Luckily we only booked for one night.
