Karakoram Tales Hunza

Karakoram Tales was easily one of the highlights of my time in Hunza. The first thing that completely blew me away was the view. Waking up and seeing Rakaposhi standing right outside the window never got old. You don’t even have to leave your room - the mountain and the entire valley are right there in front of you. I caught myself just sitting by the window with a cup of tea, enjoying the scenery for hours. As someone who works remotely, reliable internet was a huge concern before coming here. Surprisingly, this place had probably the best internet I found in Hunza. I had several video calls and worked for days without any issues, which made a massive difference. What really made the stay special, though, were the people. Haseeb is an incredible host who genuinely makes you feel at home. Thank you for all the cozy evenings, the endless cups of chai, and the conversations about travel, culture, life, and everything in between. Those moments ended up being just as memorable as the views themselves. If you’re looking for a peaceful place away from the busy main roads, where you can experience a more local side of Hunza with a warm, cozy atmosphere, I honestly can’t recommend Karakoram Tales enough. It feels less like staying in a hotel and more like being welcomed into someone’s home - with one of the most spectacular mountain views you’ll ever wake up to. I would come back without hesitation.

Nothing much

This property has the most incredible unobstructed view of Rakaposhi right from our bedroom and it turns golden at both sunrise and sunset. You don’t even have to get out of bed to see it. The room is spacious and comfortable. The staff are so welcoming and friendly and genuinely delighted to see us. They did everything they could to help us and make our stay as comfortable as possible. The WiFi is good and it was very good value
