Chalet with Spa in the Forest- Nature Awaits

Bien aimé qu'il y aille du bois à brûlé, mais j'aurais aimé ça en avoir plus. Pas évident de transporter nos propres bûches.

Très beau petit chalet bien équipé avec le spa, foyer ils ont pensé à tout. Lit très confortable plusieurs coussins et serviettes propres. Un belle endroit dans son ensemble.

Bien équipé et pensé à tout mais plusieurs équipement n’était pas fonctionnel ou brisé. Siège de toilette, cafetière, plusieurs jets du spa sont brisés, certaines fenêtres ne barre pas et les voisins sont un plus près qu’il paraissait sur les photos.

It was at the end of the street, so it was very quiet which is what we wanted. It was clean and cozy, and the hot tub was great.

They say coffee is included, but there was hardly anything left, luckily we brought. There’s no paper towel so make sure you’re prepared. It’s really the bare minimum but enough for very basic cooking.

The beds were comfortable, and we all slept well. We especially enjoyed the outdoor fire pit, which made for a cozy evening gathering—just be sure to bring or buy your own firewood beforehand. The location is a great base for exploring the area. We took several enjoyable day trips, including visits to Baie-Saint-Paul and Canyon Sainte-Anne, and found there was plenty to see nearby. The air conditioning appeared to work well, although the weather during our stay was not particularly hot, so we were not able to fully test it. The Wi-Fi was reliable throughout our stay.

The property appears to be older and could benefit from some serious maintenance. Several features were damaged or not fully functional. For example, some windows could not be opened safely or had to be propped up with pieces of wood, there were damaged sections of the ceiling, and there were holes in some of the walls. The property was also quite sparsely equipped with basic amenities. For example, only a very diluted all-purpose soap was provided for both body and hair, which was less than we expected. Luckily, we had salt and pepper, our neighbour who came to borrow it was less lucky. The neighboring properties were much closer than they appeared in the listing photos, resulting in less privacy than anticipated. What left the most negative impression, however, was a note displayed on the refrigerator asking guests not to rate the property below 4.2/5 and, if they were considering doing so, to contact the manager first. While we appreciate that hosts want the opportunity to address concerns, displaying such a request inside the property felt inappropriate and gave us the impression that maintaining the rating was prioritized over addressing the underlying issues. Overall, compared to all other properties we stayed in Canada, we felt disappointed by the property and the price/quality.
