Ficus Cottage - 3 Bed 2 Bath

The position near the Wentworth falls township and close to Leura and Katoomba was convenient for our needs. The cottage was very comfortable and well equipped and we really enjoyed the deck at the back facing the bush behind it. We had our afternoon tea out there upon arrival and breakfast next morning. There were kookaburras in the trees and a pair of King parrots who visited us each day, the male in his brilliant red and green plumage tame enough to land on our table to observe us closely, while his mate sat on the railing nearby.

We found the driveway somewhat of a challenge, being quite steep. We only just had room to turn around at the bottom, our car being on the large side, ( a Toyota Kluger)

The cottage was warm and cosy, which we appreciated during our Blue Mountains stay.

A few practical additions would make the stay more comfortable: more glad wrap and aluminium foil, placemats, and a mat between the deck and dining area to help keep the floor dry and less slippery on rainy days. The bathroom was quite cold, so a heater would be welcome. The supplied pillows were also too thin and soft for us

A very well kept and clean house

Nothing really. A few more things were missing in the kitchen but not really anything you couldn’t go without.
