Villa Bijagua Granja Granja Azul

I booked one night and ended up staying two weeks. I can't begin to explain how amazing this place is. I've been traveling for 5 months straight now and this place is easily one of the best experience if not the best. The place is immersed in nature, and still very comfortable. The family has chickens and cows (you can milk them if you want!) and they sell eggs, cheese and milk! I stayed in the small unit (without a/c) and there's a very cuddly cat that hangs around (give her love!). I didn't have a refrigerator at first but I told Carlos I'd like to stay so he got me one! I had my birthday during my stay and they got me cake and had a BBQ! It's very easy to get around with Uber and there's also a pulpería with almost everything you may need 15 minutes walking distance. (Next to the Soda of Carlos' mom! Go visit!) There's also access to the river as the land is right on it. Very clean and fresh and safe to swim. Very recommended. Just bring repellent. The kitchenette in the small unit is very small but it has all the essentials. Carlos and Rosi are very pleasant and kind - amazing people and super hospitable. It's ultimately their energy that makes Granja Azul so special. Can't express my gratitude enough. Will definitely stay again if I'm ever in the area.

My one and only complaint would be that it gets too hot sometimes during the day but for me it was ok as it was an excuse to get out and go into town. And at night the temperature is ok and the ceiling fan does the work. I think the other units have a/c though.
