The real luxury of this beautiful 18th-century estate lies in its space, peace, privacy and natural surroundings. The property consists of two separate houses: the Manor House, comfortably accommodating four guests with two en-suite bedrooms, and a converted barn with a double bedroom, a single bedroom, a sofa bed, its own bathroom, kitchen and living area. Both houses are fully self-contained, with the Manor House naturally being the more spacious of the two. The heated swimming pool is perfectly positioned between the houses, at the heart of the estate. It quickly became the centre of our holiday. The grounds themselves are extensive and bordered by hedges rather than fencing. The outdoor spaces around both houses are pleasant, with seating areas, electric barbecues and everything you need for relaxed meals outside. The overall style is practical and uncomplicated, which fits the rural character of the property. The houses were spotless on arrival. Our children spent hours in the pool, our dog absolutely loved the freedom of the grounds, and we all appreciated the tranquility. Shops and bakeries are about an eight-minute drive away, restaurants can be found within ten minutes, and household waste can be taken to collection points in all nearby villages. The closest WWII museum is around fifteen minutes away, while the D-Day beaches are approximately 90 minutes by car.
