the communication with the host was excellent — always very quick to respond, helpful, and easy to deal with. The location is also a major advantage: right in the heart of the old town, making it very convenient to explore Bari on foot.

There are some important areas that need improvement. The biggest issue is the humidity inside the property. The walls show clear signs of dampness, and there is a persistent smell of moisture that fragrances cannot mask. Ventilation is extremely limited, with only a very small window (around 20x20 cm), which makes it difficult to air out the space. Additionally, several aspects of the listing are misleading. The property advertises a patio, external area, and space to hang clothes, but in practice none of these are usable. The front door functions more like a garage door and cannot be left open without hearing the pedestrians and cars, the patio door opens directly onto a space where neighbors constantly pass by, offering no privacy, and there is no practical way to dry clothes either outside or inside due to the humidity. Overall, while the host and location are great, the condition of the property and the mismatch with the listing significantly impacted our stay.

If You looking for fresh air it is almost not possible- there are no windows- only one door coming exactly on the street- so it mean that if You want to open the window- everbody see You. No privacy at all in this moment. Lot of problems with humidity- You smell and feel it...if You have a problem with alergy- this apartament is not for You

Francesco is nice and helpful, but the accommodation it’s quite basic, I would give it 6 out of 10. Cleanliness 6/10 - the large mirrors had stains on them, the shower has several clearly visible and uncleaned limescale deposits, and the shower-head is old and leaks around the edges. The bathroom is small, with nowhere to hang towels or enough space for your belongings. The toilet seat is not properly secured and wobbles, and the toilet paper is of the lowest quality. The couch is in a bad shape and covered in stains; don’t even consider having someone sleep on it. The WiFi didn't work initially, and my mobile data did not work well in the bedroom either - I tested with 2 different eSIMs. Francesco provided another router that worked for 2 days, then it stopped working again. The location is not extremely quiet - cars pass directly in front of the bedroom door, and the neighbours can be quite loud, slamming the entry gate and talking at high volume. The only natural light comes from the front street door and a 20cm window. Although the listing advertises a terrace/balcony, there are ongoing renovations and you don’t actually get the small set-up outdoor space in front of the kitchen as shown in the photos. Francesco provided me the keys to the upstairs terrace though - but I did not use it. Advice to the owner: invest a little money and effort to bring this accommodation to a better state. Must change: - shower set and toilet lid - add more storage in the bathroom and in the shower - couch - photos displaying a set-up balcony in front of the kitchen when there isn’t one.
