Sauna flat Central Brighton

The flat is centrally located, just a short walk from the beach, the Royal Pavilion, and the Pier. The owner and the staff at Yoyo Yard were incredibly friendly and always happy to assist with anything. We especially enjoyed the one-hour sauna session, which was already included in the booking price.

Unfortunately, we weren’t happy with the cleanliness. There were black stains on the floor, and the lower floor smelled very mouldy. Also, the flat is in a very lively area with lots of bars and pubs around, so it can get noisy at night, even with the windows closed. One thing to note: the flat is really small—not just the bedroom and bathroom (which you can see in the photos), but also the kitchen and even the staircase. It’s really not suitable for anyone who’s overweight, as you won't be able to get into the shower. (I would dare call myself thin and even I found the shower very cramped.)

Location

The flooring

Fairly close to the railway station and to the beach, location is very convenient. Loved the interior design, absolutely amazing. Also overlook on the Brighton roofs - loved the view! Bed is very big and comfy, everything looks clean and taken care of. Landlord let us check in earlier, which was really nice and convenient as we've travelled from far away.

Pretty tight in every aspect except for the bed, also hard to ventilate (we got there in the middle of boiling weather and the windows did not cooperated with us trying to create any movement of air inside). Can't say anything about sauna cause we didn't use it due to having sauna directly in the flat. WiFi access could've been more clearly stated, we didn't get any.

Location was great, close to plenty of eateries and public transport. Parking was available right next to the flat.

The host was not great with communication. We only had a quarter roll of toilet paper for three of us for two nights. We did get more after pointing this out to the host, however we ran out in the evening and had to wait until morning to request more. There is no hairdryer in the flat and when I asked, I was ignored twice, we never found one or received one. You need a password for the WiFi and we only received it on our second day after asking. The toaster cord is too short to plug into the outlet in the kitchen, so it doesn't sit on the bench. Note there is no seating in the flat. It is a very tight space, we would only recommend if you are travelling solo. We struggled to get to sleep because of the noise from the other flats. We suspect the wall in the bedroom is thin and not well sound proofed.
