Lantern Cottage, Southwold

We had a lovely stay at Lantern Cottage. The cottage is very clean, spacious and cosy, as well as being really well equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. It’s a surprisingly large cottage, comfortably sleeping four, with plenty of space to relax both inside and out. The outdoor space is a real bonus, and the location is excellent. Off street parking was a real bonus. Everything felt very comfortable and welcoming, and we especially loved the huge king-size bed — incredibly comfortable! We would definitely recommend Lantern Cottage and would happily stay again.

Excellent location in terms of being very central. Restaurants, shops ,pubs being literally round the corner. No views but own parking. Surprisingly spacious and extremely well equipped. Decent size outside space both back and front with a pleasant balcony off the main bedroom. A wellcome pack, which is a rare treat these days.

Disappointed that they didn’t put in an en-suite, unlike the next door property . Only one bathroom when there could be four people staying. The bath with the shower was rather high which was challenging for us, but we’re in our late seventies so probably not a problem for others.
