The Sanctuary

The property was amazing, with everything we needed and more. Even to the point that they left a bottle of wine to enjoy. The location was spot on and in the heart of the town. We wouldn't hesitate to book this place again.

It was a little difficult to find the property at first, as our maps took us to the wrong location. However, they provided clear photos, which made it easy to find on foot. Because of the heatwave, it got very hot, especially as the bedroom is on the second floor. Luckily, they had provided a small air-con unit, and we opened up all the windows, which helped a lot.

The property was very well laid out and is in a great location. Communication from the owners was very good. This property would be a 10 out of 10 if it had proper air conditioning or at any time of the year except during a heat wave. Nice ensuite shower room. Useful having a downstairs WC. Well designed kitchen with everything you need.

The property advertises that it has air conditioning, which given the heatwave we were experiencing when we booked, was a key selling point so we were disappointed to find out it was a small air conditioning unit with a short hose which couldn’t reach any windows to extract the hot air it was blowing out and so not suitable and, unfortunately, the apartment was very warm. Being close to the road it was a bit too loud to leave the windows open overnight as, although traffic was not frequent, when it did pass by it was very loud. Consequently, it was a bit difficult to get a good nights sleep. We tried to use the air conditioning unit box on fan setting but it was too noisy. To be fair to future users of the apartment I think the owners should remove reference to the apartment having air conditioning unless they upgrade to a proper fit for purpose air conditioning solution.

This place was as pretty close to perfect as you can get! 10/10 for everything. Place is immaculate. Location perfect. Bed amazing (unfortunately didn't use properly in the end slept on the pull out due to heat) highly highly recommend this place!!

Promoted as AC but doesn't have it. Has an portable unit that pumps out very hot air at the back and a little cold air at the front so made for an uncomfortable stay in the heat. Had to sleep downstairs on the pull out sofa bed

Gorgeous location, in the heart of Stow-on-the-Wold. Plenty of parking nearby, very cosy and well furnished room on two floors. Definitely recommended.
