Chalé Suíço com Jacuzzi

Aanrader. De locatie is waanzinnig mooi. Midden in de natuur en toch van alle gemakken voorzien. De host Peter is geweldig. Wat je ook vraagt, hij regelt het. Is hij toevallig aan het BBQ-en dan vraagt hij zelfs of je mee wilt eten. We vonden niet meteen het pad naar het chalet, dus komt hij ons ophalen bij de grote weg. Hout en marshmellows voor het kampvuurtje c.q. BBQ brengt hij langs. Mocht je deze locatie willen boeken, overweeg dan ook het treehouse. Wakker worden en recht in het bos kijken! Met een beetje mazzel pluk je zo de mandarijnen en avocados van de bomen en vang je ook nog wat vis in de vijver. Peter spreekt naast Portugees ook zijn moedertaal Engels, dus dat werkt prima.

Een mini verbeterpunt: wij zochten naar een bordje Chalet Suiço, maar langs de grote weg staat een bord "Seu Paraíso da Montanha". Volgt dat bordje naar een landweg en na 650 meter kom je uit in dit paradijsje.

The host is an amazing guy, who made sure that anything we wanted was made available to us, nothing was too much trouble. The location is a paradise, not far from the main road, but completely removed from the stress of modern life. Even his pets were extremely friendly. The plot grows an incredible variety of natural plants with fresh fruit available from the trees. The owner is an IT specialist, so all of modern life is available at a flick of the switch, when required. So as a get away relaxation retreat it is perfect, but also allows you to check on the world if you want to. Good restaurants 10 minutes away.

The only down side would have been if the steep slopes of the valley were a problem, but at 73 with a dodgy hip I still enjoyed strolling around his grounds and even his dog came with me.
