    We stayed at Vishan Garden Boutique Hotel for 5 nights. While the hotel has a lovely ambience and an excellent location, there were a few things that the hotel could have done better. At check-in, the front desk staff tried to upsell us to a better room for an additional S$150 per night, which I agreed after viewing it. The room we originally booked faced an internal courtyard with bright neon lights, creating an atmosphere that I personally found uncomfortable and unappealing. Breakfast was simple and pretty much the same every morning, but surprisingly, I enjoyed it! Nothing elaborate, just a decent breakfast to start the day. Another minor disappointment was discovering that the drinks in the minibar were complimentary only on the first night. For guests staying 5 nights, I felt that replenishing a few drinks daily would have been a nice gesture. On the positive side, the hotel has a charming ambience, and the location is fantastic for exploring Xiamen. The real winner, however, was the complimentary self-service laundry! This was incredibly convenient and probably my favourite amenity throughout the stay. Overall, it’s a pleasant boutique hotel with some good features, but I feel the management could do better in terms of room expectations, upgrade pricing and small touches of hospitality. Would I return? Perhaps, but only if I could secure a room with a better view at a reasonable price. The hotel has potential, but the overall experience didn’t quite live up to my expectations.
