About this cottage rental
An ideal romantic escape, this delightful cottage in the picturesque Oxfordshire village of Adderbury is meticulously presented with luxurious finishes, but also boasting wonderful character and features including exposed beams and stonework, window shutters, and an impressive inglenook fireplace with a contemporary wood burning stove.
The marriage of old and new has been expertly curated, resulting in both cosy character, and light and bright aspirational living spaces, with a mix of marble and oak flooring underfoot, warmed by underfloor heating. The modern dining kitchen features an electric Aga along with high-end built-in appliances. Through to the relaxing sitting room, where evenings enjoying the wood burning stove await; whilst the lower level garden room is the perfect retreat for downtime during the day, with its vaulted ceiling and bi-folding doors out to the York stone terrace and raised walled garden beyond.
Upstairs, the generous bedroom features dual aspect windows and large floor to ceiling wardrobes with dressing area; along with a contemporary shower room with a double walk-in shower. An additional WC is located downstairs in the utility room.
Outside at the rear, the well-stocked, walled garden is reached via stone steps from the terrace; with a further raised terrace with garden furniture and use of a table-top barbecue.
The charming, picture postcard village of Adderbury, with its honey-coloured stone cottages and historic church with impressive steeple is a destination in itself, with wonderful lake walks, a village shop, post office, coffee shop and hairdresser; and no less than four pubs to choose from, all within walking distance of Wynn Cottage. Conveniently located close the M40, just three miles south of Banbury, and 20 miles north of Oxford, the surrounding Cotswolds hotspots are within easy reach, along with Shakespeare's Stratford-upon-Avon.

Additional Information:
One medium-size or two small well-behaved dogs welcome (small additional charge). Please keep your dog(s) to the ground floor only, a stair gate has been fitted at the top of the stairs.
An infant is welcome (travel cot and highchair are available on request, fixed stairgate at the top of stairs) Please provide your own cot linen.
Please note, the Aga is switched off between April and September inclusive, if you would like the Aga turned on prior to your arrival, please request this on the booking form.
Please be aware there are different levels and stone steps in the garden, infants/children must be supervised at all times, and the garden may not be suitable for guests with limited mobility.
