Room comments refer to bedroom no.1 only. Good Points: Friendly staff Spotlessly clean bedroom and bathroom, so important, 5 stars! Super comfy four poster bed with a warm duvet that I loved (...see niggles) Nice modern shower room - cubicle narrow but deep enough for two at a pinch (!) plenty of hot water and an efficient (...if noisy...) fan extractor. Separate residents entrance with own key. Oat milk available for tea/coffee and cereal for breakfast. Coffee pod machine available 24 hrs with good selection of pods. Decent menu of standard pub grub available downstairs till 8pm most nights (...though we didn't try it...) and lots of choice at the bar. Pub very dog friendly. Bad Points: No option of a cooked breakfast. 'Continental' style breakfast - but nothing perishable and everything pre packaged except milk. Kelloggs cereals, porridge pots, commercial protein bars, very cheap white and brown bread for toast. Individual juice cartons and foil wrapped butter portions, some fruit (...including one orange going mouldy..) and lots of mini yogurts (...full of additives, so not for us...) in a communal fridge. All regularly restocked - all help yourself. 4 miles to Blandford Forum and 6 miles to Wimborne Minster (...nearest towns...) - no bus service, so you'll need a car (...or taxis if you want to drink out). Niggles: Partner found duvet too hot and pub is right next to the road so opening a window let in traffic noise (...road generally quiet overnight to be fair but this is an agricultural community so expect early traffic). Good blackout curtains but big curtain pole lets lots of light in around the edges. Bring an eye mask if you need a dark room (...not an issue over winter I assume.) Very creaky stairs up to the rooms!
