Merzouga Hostel

Es ist klein und gemütlich. Der Inhaber hat sich sehr viel Mühe gegeben uns einen schönen Aufenthalt zu ermöglichen. Man wohnt quasi bei der Familie mit im Haus und da islamischer Feiertag war durften wir den Tag mit der Familie verbringen. Das war eine sehr tolle Erfahrung die Kultur so nah und echt mitzuerleben.

Die Küche, die man mitbenutzen kann ist auch deren Privatküche. Wir durften sie benutzen aber außer dem Inhaber spricht keiner Englisch dadurch gab es teilweise ein paar Kommunikationsprobleme. Trotzdem waren alle super super lieb.

Zakaria’s Hostel is exactly what I was looking for — an authentic place with real contact to the local people, away from the usual tourist camps. The hostel is decorated with a lot of love and care. The room was spacious and airy, and the beds were very comfortable. I also really enjoyed the large common area, where we even played chess with Zakaria’s little brother Ryan. The Supratours bus stop area is very close by, and the big dunes are within walking distance for watching the sunrise. There are also many restaurants and small grocery shops nearby. The breakfast was amazing and unexpectedly generous! I can highly recommend Zakarias hostel.

To be honest, at first I hesitated it’s not easy to trust a property with no reviews. But I decided to take the chance, and I’m really glad I did. Zakaria is a kind and ambitious host who truly cares about his guests. The place is nice, clean, well decorated and truly felt like a home away from home. Everything was exactly as shown in the photos, and even better. It’s also not far from the bus station, which made everything very easy. I highly recommend this place Zakaria is a fantastic host, and his property is truly worth visiting.
