The property was spacious and well equipped, very clean and the owners are a lovely couple, they were available if needed, but equally respected our privacy. We wanted a quiet relaxed holiday away from the hustle and bustle of tourists resorts, Chauvigny was perfect for that. Its a small medieval town with a market square with a handful of restaurants and bars, local markets selling lovely produce and the castle to explore that hosts the birds of prey show. The velorail and canoeing on the Vienne River are also highly recommend, as are the lovely forest walks
Only negative I would say is that the property is quite remote being a couple of miles away from anything, so you do need a car to get anywhere, only an issue though if your the driver when going to dinner at the restaurants and wanting a glass ( or 2) of wine with your meal
