Ortachala apartment hills

I was very satisfied with the apartment, and it actually exceeded my expectations. I stayed there for 3 weeks. The location is great, in a very authentic area on the hillside near a church. Its pretty quiet, while still being only about 10 minutes from the very center of the Old Town. There are plenty of grocery stores and supermarkets very close by. The apartment has a lot of basic household supplies, such as soap, trash bags, toilet paper, and even laundry detergent (thanks to me, now there’s also detergent for colored clothes). Almost all the necessary kitchen utensils are available, and the contact grill was a jackpot for me personally. The owner is always available and speaks English well.

Probably because of the location and/or the building itself, the humidity is very high. There is a dehumidifier in the apartment, and it runs constantly with a fairly high noise level. Overall, it wasn’t a major issue, but just keep it in mind. If natural light is important to you, keep in mind that the windows are only in the bedrooms. There is no microwave, and there is also basically no proper cooking pot: only a small enamel one and a large one with a flaking nonstick coating. Also, despite being generally clean, the apartment could use a more thorough cleaning.

At first glance, the area may seem a little different from what you might expect, but after a day or two, you begin to appreciate its charm. It is peaceful, quiet, and away from the busy tourist crowds ,less than 1km you're middle of touristic area ( few minutes walk), while still offering easy access to shops, public transport, and taxis whenever needed. The host was kind, responsive, and very easy to communicate with throughout my stay. I spent almost two weeks here and felt very comfortable. Overall, it was a great experience, and I would happily stay here again in the future.
