FV Valley House Apartments

I had a great stay here! The room was spotless and very clean. The location is unbeatable—super close to the train station and bus stops, so getting around the city was a breeze. There are also tons of places to eat just a short walk away. Would definitely stay here again!

One minor issue was check-in: you have to pick up the key across the street. There are so many key boxes there that it was confusing and took some time to find the right one. The hotel should really put up a clearer sign or landmark to make it easier for guests.

It was very close to everything which I really liked.

The whole check in process was extremely frustrating. I arrived around 6pm and the lockbox had no keys inside. I immediately thought I was scammed, I then messaged Daisy on booking.com as her listed number did not work and waited for a reply. I was quite upset and stressed and I was disappointed by her responses she came across not apologetic, like her responses were either put though chatGPT or copy and pasted, really no message came across liked she really cared about the significant stress and inconvenience that was caused. I had to wait 90 minutes to be actually checked into my room. This was an error they ABSOLUTLEY have to fix for the next person. I highly recommend they take a photo of the key inside the lockbox and send it to the next person themselves and personally check it’s still inside prior to check in for that person, it’s just too risky, imagine if someone arrived late in the night, I worry she wouldn’t do anything. When I entered inside the apartment I saw the floor was a bit dirty with flecks and specs of paper towel throughout, I also heard a beeping and found the dish washer slightly ajar with dirty dishes inside that smelt, I had to clean those. The dryer was also not cleaned between guests, I saw the lint filter was clogged with debris and a shoelace which is a fire hazard. Again Daisy put the blame on me again saying I should have told her earlier. Overall I enjoyed my stay and I would stay again if she can fix up this oversights. If not I can’t recommend sadly, there is just too much risk for things to go wrong if she can’t guarantee the key is in the lockbox.
