Apartment in Capannori

About this apartment rental
The details are looked after. The linen is good. The kitchen has what you actually need. The bathroom works. These are not things that every studio apartment can say, and for guests who have stayed in places where they couldn't, they matter.
Children and pets are welcome. The apartment is on the first floor of a historic building — one flight of stairs, no elevator. If mobility is a concern, please get in touch before booking.
The Location
Via della Fratta sits at the operational heart of Lucca. Not the scenic heart — that's Il Nido on the rooftops — but the place where the city actually happens: the square where people meet, the street where people shop, the neighbourhood where cafés open early and stay open late.
Piazza San Michele in Foro is two minutes away — one of the most beautiful Romanesque squares in Italy, built over the ancient Roman forum, animated at every hour of the day. Via Fillungo, Lucca's elegant pedestrian shopping street with its preserved art nouveau shopfronts, is around the corner. Piazza Anfiteatro — the extraordinary elliptical square on Roman amphitheatre foundations — is five minutes. The Cathedral of San Martino is a ten-minute stroll. The famous tree-topped city walls are close in any direction.
The street itself is quiet. Locals pass through rather than linger. Guests at Andrea consistently note the silence despite the central location — that particular combination of being exactly where you want to be and hearing nothing when you close the door.
Getting Around
Lucca's historic centre is entirely pedestrian within the walls. From Via della Fratta, the whole city is walkable. The train station is 15 minutes on foot, with direct connections to Pisa (30 min), Florence (1h 20min) and the Versilia coast. Parking outside the walls at the tourist car parks; ZTL restrictions apply inside the historic centre.
For day trips: Pisa and the Piazza dei Miracoli in 30 minutes by train. The Garfagnana valley — barely touristed, dramatically beautiful — begins just north of the city. The Versilia Riviera, Forte dei Marmi and Viareggio, is under 40 minutes by car.
