At the end of 2020, we took over the forester’s lodge, which was built in 1893, and are in the process of bringing the house’s charm to life. The multi-family home is a detached property conveniently located right next to the Harz National Park. The center of Braunlage is about 4 km away. There is a bus stop in front of the house—from here, buses run regularly to Braunlage, Bad Harzburg, and Sankt Andreasberg. (The bus fare is included in the visitor’s tax.) Our house’s garden, which is three-quarters fenced in, covers 3,200 square meters and is perfect for enjoying nature, as a play area for children, for cozy get-togethers, or for watching wonderful sunsets.



Platzhirsch Vacation Rental:

Our completely renovated, non-smoking “Eulennest” vacation apartment, completed in May 2022, accommodates up to 4 people (additional beds and cribs available). It is a lovingly furnished, cozy ground-floor apartment. From the apartment, you can set out on hikes right away and discover great destinations such as the Achtermann, the Hahnenkleeklippen, the Silberteich, and more.

There are two bedrooms in total, both furnished with a large double bed.
The living room features a cozy sofa area with a TV and radio, as well as a dining nook.
The kitchenette is equipped with everything you need:
*Refrigerator with built-in freezer
*Electric stove with oven,
*Microwave
*Toaster
*Coffee maker
*Electric kettle
*Cutlery & dishes
*Pots & pans
*Baking dish
The bright bathroom is equipped with a large walk-in shower and toilet, as well as cabinets and a stool. There is also a guest bathroom available.
The apartment is equipped with smoke detectors.
Free parking spaces are located right next to the building.



On-site fees: Payment is requested approximately one week before arrival and can be made in advance via bank transfer or in cash upon arrival.Cancellations made up to 30 days before arrival are free of charge; cancellations made between 30 and 14 days before arrival will be charged 50% of the total cost; cancellations made within 14 days of arrival will be charged 100% of the total cost. Check-in is available from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Check-out is available between 8:00 AM and 11:00 AM. To ensure a smooth process, please adhere to the specified times. Different times are possible ONLY by prior arrangement. Otherwise, we reserve the right to charge you for the additional time. Keys will be handed over in person on-site. A crib or rollaway bed can be provided free of charge upon request. Pets are allowed for a fee of €5 per pet per night. Your pets are not permitted to use the couch or the bed. If they do, please place your own blankets underneath them. Otherwise, we reserve the right to charge you a special cleaning fee. The visitor’s tax must be paid in cash on-site: €3.05 per adult / €1.70 per child per day per family. You will receive a visitor’s card upon arrival. (The guest fee is a mandatory tax paid to the city of Braunlage—we’ll handle this for you.) Included in the rental price are the costs for Wi-Fi (no refunds for service disruptions), water, heat, electricity, bed linens, and towels.



Check-in is from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m., and check-out is from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
