Enjoy mountain views, a fully equipped kitchen, and our signature Hydeaway touches throughout. After a day exploring Banff or hiking nearby trails, unwind in the heated outdoor pool and hot tub. Professionally managed by Hydeaway Stay with five star guest communication and seamless check in.
The Space:
Like the local but elusive Pine marten itself, this space is warm, agile, and quietly refined. Thoughtfully designed with cozy textures and elevated finishes, it is a mountain retreat that feels both tucked away and perfectly at home in the wild beauty of Canmore. (Note this Hydeaway's sister unit is the 1BR Pika Hydeaway on the same floor, just across the hall - perfect for bigger groups or where someone needs their own space)
Living Area: The open-concept living space is bright and inviting, with large windows, a cozy gas fireplace, and comfortable seating designed for relaxing after a full day outdoors.
Kitchen and Dining: The fully equipped open kitchen is designed for real use, not just looks. It includes high end stainless steel appliances and everything needed to prepare meals at home.

Pine Marten Hydeaway is ideally located just minutes from downtown Canmore and approximately 20 minutes from Banff National Park. You are close to hiking and biking trails, lakes, golf courses, and world-class skiing. The Legacy Trail is nearby, offering a scenic route right toward Banff.
Other Things to Note:
Good to Know
• Quiet hours are from 10 pm to 7 am
• The unit is professionally cleaned and sanitized after every stay
• Your Guest guide included with local tips, dining recommendations, and trail suggestions. We also provide customized reservations - just reach out in advance or during your stay.
• Hosts are easily reachable before and during your stay, 24/7 by app messaging, email or phone.
Important Items to Note:
* Trains do pass through the Bow Valley and in front of Ascent, which is part of the authentic mountain town experience. This Hydeaway is on the other side of the building and should have NO issues at all with train noise.
* Construction is ongoing in the area but is restricted to 7:30-4:30 weekdays and is typically a non-event but from time to time guests may hear heavy equipment operating.
* Amenities are managed by the building and may occasionally be closed for maintenance. We always communicate updates when we are made aware, however last minute closures are outside our control.
* IMPORTANT: Each unit at Ascent includes one dedicated parking stall. The building also has a limited number of visitor stalls (shared across the building) that are first come, first served and often fill quickly, so Hydeaway Stay cannot guarantee parking for additional vehicles. Guests arriving with a second or third vehicle during busy times should expect to park additional vehicles offsite, which may not be within easy walking distance.

Great communication with the property for access needs. I was able to confirm the sofa in the living room converted into a 3rd bed. However, we found that no extra linens or pillows are provided for it.
The parking garage is tight as mentioned but we were able to offload/pack up by parking in the middle and then backing into our stall. Unfortunately, the underground parked had a recent sewage backup as noted by the smell and equipment left out.
The kitchen is well-equipped with dishes, including pots and pans, toaster, etc. Coffee and creamer is included. We found that the floors are not as clean as they appear after having a mishap with the coffee bag and cleaning up. The towel became filthy, quickly.
The pool and hot tub are a nice feature and were enjoyed in the evening. Keep in mind that leaves and bugs will float in so they were not as clean as we were expecting either.
Overall, a great stay for 2 couples.

The heated outdoor pool and hottub were definitely the highlight. All the guests were friendly and we had great conversations while soaking away the sore muscles from a day of skiing.
