The Neighborhood:
Holmes Hub is located in the Sugarloaf area of Big Bear — a quiet, residential mountain community just east of Big Bear Lake. Sugarloaf is known for its peaceful, tucked-away feel with tall pines, wildlife, and a slower pace. It's the kind of neighborhood where you hear birds instead of traffic. You're far enough from the bustle to truly unwind, but still a short drive to everything Big Bear has to offer.
Getting Around:
Times may change depending on the weather and traffic
Big Bear Village: ~10–15 min
Snow Summit: ~10–15 min
Bear Mountain: ~15–20 min
Big Bear Lake / marinas: ~10–15 min
Grocery stores: ~5–10 min

Other Things to Note:
Dogs welcome — up to 2 dogs allowed with a $75 pet fee per stay. No cats or other animals. Please clean up after your pets and keep them off furniture and beds.
No smoking, vaping, or candles inside the cabin
Best for 2 guests — this is an intimate cabin, not designed for groups
Mountain elevation (7,000 ft) — weather can change quickly; carry chains Nov–Apr
Trash: Big Bear does not have curbside pickup — guests take trash to local Clean Bear sites (addresses provided after booking)
Wildlife is common — keep doors closed and food stored properly
Sugarloaf is quiet — please be respectful of the peaceful neighborhood
