Why not gather everyone together around the wood burner in the open-plan lounge/diner before and after hearty lunches or five-course evening feasts? The inviting kitchen is a foodie’s dream, with plenty of equipment close at hand. The laundry room is a God-send for clumsy guests, while the nearby family bathroom is a handy place to get scrubbed up.
