A high vaulted ceiling and underfloor heating in the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner create a warm and soothing atmosphere which invites you to cook up a storm with your local produce in the contemporary kitchen, make special family memories planning tomorrow’s adventure seated around the farmhouse-style dining table and unwind on the comfy sofas as you catch up on your favourite programme on the Smart TV. As day turns to dusk, retreat to either of the two beautifully presented bedrooms to admire wonderful views across the surrounding rolling countryside that’ll send you into a peaceful snooze before tomorrow’s adventure. Soak up the last of the evening’s sunshine by dining alfresco on the patio in the enclosed lawned garden before enjoying a refreshing dip in the shared heated indoor swimming pool; there’s also a shared children’s play area perfect for little ones to let off some steam before bedtime.
The rural village of Roughton is surrounded by wonderfully unspoilt countryside to explore on foot or two wheels, nestled just under 2 miles from Cromer, offering everything you’d expect to find at the coast, from a long sandy beach backed by colourful huts to a fabulous pier home to the country’s only remaining end-of-the-pier variety show. History lovers can while away an afternoon exploring the 17th-century hall, walled gardens and 380 acres of woodland at Felbrigg Hall 2.5 miles away whilst thrill seekers can scale the high ropes courses and zip wires at Hilltop Outdoor Adventure 4.5 miles away in nearby Sheringham.
