The only thing that will disturb you is the sound of the birds, therefore if peace and tranquillity are what you are looking for, The Byre at High Kirkland is perfect. Take a walk from The Byre into the picturesque town of Kirkcudbright and take a stroll round the harbour and pop into the numerous shops, galleries, cafes and restaurants, and the impressive ruins of MacLellan’s Castle. The best of both worlds!
Known as the Artist’s Town, Kirkcudbright attracts visitors throughout the year drawn by the harbour, the historic high street and the diverse range of annual events and visitor attractions. We had a wonderul week at the byre. It is one of the best cottages we have stayed in. It was so peaceful and in an excellent location for touring in the area.
