AROMA HOSTEL

I spent 4 weeks at this hostel and I would say it has been a wonderful experience. The staffs are friendly and supports guests with any issue possible. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an affordable accomodation while they enjoy their experience in Vientiane, Laos

The staff is super friendly and the price is unbeatable. Great location, great coffee and nice fresh juices.

You can not beat the value for money on this one. First time hostel for me but there is nothing to complain. 🫶🏾

*warning* they padlocked at 11pm, local time. return early, or get locked out like me 😭 10min walk to the night market, and 5min walk to the river bank. but the river is too far away to see anything, lol. 5min walk to a well-stocked mini mart "little big c", and the famous korea burger chain "lotteria" along the same way to the night market. the room's air conditioner is turned on all day, and it's reasonably cold at full blast at the lowest temperature. there is a ceiling fan presumably to circulate the air, as all the windows appear to be permanently sealed. since they padlocked at night, and the windows appear permanently sealed, it's probably difficult to escape, in case of any emergency 🤔 each bed has a small light, and a power outlet for charging devices. the pillow cases and bed sheets and curtains are all dark colour. it's not possible to see are they clean or dirty. there's a separate wifi password on every floor, and the room's wifi signal is much better than the lobby's. there are clean-looking washroom slippers. the common area in the washroom is functional, but has no regular housekeeping. there are visible bits of rubbish everywhere, and leftover toiletries. the toilet cubicles are usually dry, and quite clean, and have no bad smell. the flush is functional, and there is toilet paper. each shower cubicle has its own water heater to provide hot water. but the water pressure is not good. in conclusion, there's sufficient value to justify the price.
