    We stayed at Peninsula Worth Hotel from July 6–10, 2026, during our honeymoon and first visit to Madinah. Unfortunately, our experience fell well below expectations. We had booked a room with one large bed but were given two twin beds pushed together, with the bed positioned against the wall. After moving one of the beds, they left without cleaning and we found hair and debris on the carpet, hair in the bathroom, and a wet area on the floor near the window. Requesting a room change turned into a lengthy process involving conflicting information and repeated follow-ups with staff. Housekeeping was also unreliable. Our room was not cleaned when we were told it would be, and our bed sheets were not changed until we called late at night. On another occasion, we requested an iron and ironing board twice, but they never arrived before we needed to leave, disrupting our plans. The most concerning incident occurred at breakfast when I found dental floss inside a pancake I was eating. I immediately reported it to a manager and could not finish my meal. This understandably affected my confidence in the hotel's food service, and we did not return for breakfast on our final day. Throughout our stay, we repeatedly had to go downstairs or call multiple times to get basic issues addressed. Rather than enjoying our limited time in Madinah and at the Haram, we lost valuable time dealing with problems that should have been handled promptly by the hotel. After our stay, I submitted a detailed complaint and followed up with management over an extended period. The hotel offered a discounted rate, room upgrade, and dinner on a future visit, but this did not address the experience we had already paid for. My subsequent request for financial compensation was referred to the General Manager, but I did not receive a substantive resolution despite repeated follow-ups. I understand that problems can occasionally occur at any hotel. However, the number of issues we experienced, the incident involving a foreign object in food, and the repeated need to chase staff for assistance made this a particularly disappointing stay. Based on our experience, I would be hesitant to stay here again and would advise prospective guests to carefully consider these concerns before booking.
