TelMar Kiti Escape House

Für unsere Zwecke (Surffamilie) perfekte Unterkunft, da es genügend Platz gab, das Ferienhaus recht neu und modern eingerichtet ist und es einen eigenen Parkplatz direkt auf dem Grundstück gibt (wenig Laufwege).

Die Lage in Kiti ist nicht touristisch, was für uns kein Problem war. Man wohnt halt in einem "normalen" Wohnviertel und braucht, mit Ausnahme kleinerer Lebensmittelkäufe, zwingend ein Auto um überall hinzukommen.

The house is spacious, the beds are comfortable. The sofa would have also been comfortable if it wasn’t for a big group of ants that kept coming, making it hard to relax on it.

Unfortunately there’s a lot left to be desired. We arrived at the property late at night and immediately found out that the host had given us the wrong code for the lockbox where we were supposed to get our keys. Partly justifiable by the time it was, the host was unresponsive to our messages and phone calls. Thankfully one of the windows was not locked properly and me and my wife (and our 3 luggages) had to climb inside the house through the window, at nearly 3am, because of someone else’s negligence. In the morning the owner sent us the right code and we finally managed to collect the key. This wouldn’t have happened if the owner (or someone on their behalf) was in Cyprus. The host was reasonably apologetic about this and offered us a night free of charge, which we thank him for. Upon entering through the window, we also noticed that someone with a great sense of humour had left the air conditioning on, set at 31ºC, making the place an absolute hell. We also noticed that the house had not been cleaned properly at all, as we were welcomed by spilled wine and glass chunks on the floor, combined with an overall unclean flooring and spiders and spiderwebs EVERYWHERE. The place had definitely not been cleaned and/or lived in for a while. We therefore asked for the property to be cleaned. The following day the cleaning company came and started “cleaning” the floor with a broom (having no vacuum cleaner in 2026 is unbelievable) and then mopped it using just water, without any detergent. They then proceeded to use the same mop for the outside veranda, indicating an overall lack of hygiene mentality that’s not acceptable. We also had no water pressure for 2 days, until the owner’s handyman came around to turn on the water pump, which for some reason had been turned off.
