The Beachside Hideout - St Michaels Caravan Park

The reception was polite and friendly, the location was amazing and the place was clean quiet. We have great time while staying there.

Was a bit far from beach. Rooms and beds were very small

It's a nice, quiet park with a central area for playtime for the children. There were always a group of young ones playing football. We didn't use the cooking facilities, but there seemed to be enough basics. Plenty of crockery and plastic things for outside use. Beds are comfy with memory foam pillows. If you're long though, your feet will stick out over the end. I made a mistake, thinking there would be towels provided. I had read far too many caravan descriptions before booking. A quick text to the owners and a trip to Tescos to buy some. A tea towel would have been nicely received though. The caravan was clean, apart from a hair tie left on the bathroom shelf. We left it there for the cleaner to remove. Lovely big television but take a DVD player with HDMI and discs to watch.

Finding the park wasn't particularly easy as the signs don't stand out at all. When we eventually found the bar where we had to collect the keys from, as we arrived after 5pm, the guy behind the bar said to go back on to the main road and go Left, Left, Left and the gates are on the right. The first left and the gate location were the only things correct. The park is pretty much opposite the church. There is a badly worded sign by the caravan door threatening you with a £50 fine if you don't recycle properly. I'm not sure how this would be achieved. A better handwritten one would be appropriate. Unless you look at the booklets supplied then you're not told where the bins are either. Perhaps this could be added to the door sign. We were surprised there was no where to dry towels etc, until we found the rotary dryer hiding under one of the beds when we were room checking at the end of our stay. Again, perhaps this could be put on a list by the door. We didn't take advantage of the park's wifi as my son's mobile actually had a signal, which no one else got, so he turned his hotspot on. What was annoying is having the park's wifi "buy me" reminder constantly popping up when watching normal TV channels.

The caravan was lovely, clean and modern and the owners were fab and had great communication.
