After the left the host called us to check if we had taken their parasol which was ridiculous. We declined and as we were on the phone it was discovered on their property as it had flown away due to the wind. Anti climatic end to an otherwise good stay. The owner should have thought through their actions

Lovely cottage; well presented, clean, everything works; quiet, farm setting; the host (who lives next-door) was very pleasant and helpful.

Deserves a score of 10/10, except let down by chronic experience trying to get answers to my queries from the agency, Sykes Cottages. I was very busy before we came away, so emails unanswered or only half-answered added to stress. Plus their emails were often in black type on a dark grey background (despite my asking for them not to be) - much harder to read. Sykes were adamant a late check-out was not possible, but when I rang the host himself he was very accommodating. The agency might benefit from a little training in customer service.
