Modern Apt Sunset Views, Pool, Gym & Padel

e’ve stayed in the area a few times before, but this was definitely our favourite stay so far, helped by the absolutely fantastic sunsets! The balcony is a great size and perfect for catching some sunshine. As we stayed in October, we only managed to sit out during the day a few times in our first week, but we spent plenty of evenings out there with a glass of wine or a beer, watching the sun go down. The apartment itself is really well laid out, with air conditioning in the main bedroom and living area. The kitchen is simple but has everything you need, with plenty of utensils for cooking. I especially liked having a blender so I could make my daily smoothie! Communication before, during and after our stay was excellent. We were given all the information we needed, including an online guidebook with ideas for days out, restaurants and places to visit nearby. The hosts were always quick to reply and even shared some of their favourite bars and restaurants with us. There’s a tennis and padel club right next door which serves really good food, plus plenty of other bars and restaurants within a 10 to 15-minute walk. We particularly enjoyed Makai Beach, Tulsi Indian and JJ’s Bar. The beach and seafront boardwalk are around a 10-minute walk away, and you can walk into La Cala de Mijas in about 30 minutes. Overall, we absolutely loved our stay and are already looking at coming back next year, although probably a little earlier than October next time! Would definitely recommend.

The only slight negative for us was the pillows, but that’s purely personal preference and you can’t please everyone! The bed itself was comfortable. During our first week, some apartments in the building were being renovated, so there was some noise from fairly early in the morning. This was completely outside the hosts’ control and certainly didn’t spoil our overall experience. If anything, it just encouraged us to get up, head out and make the most of our days!
