The location is definitely one of the strongest points. The campsite is easy to find and well connected, making it very convenient to explore the surrounding area, including Biarritz, Hossegor, Saint-Jean-de-Luz and Capbreton. Ondres beach is also within around a 20-minute walk and is really nice, with several places to have dinner or grab a drink. The staff were friendly and helpful, which made the stay more pleasant. We also really appreciated the agreement with the nearby campsite, which gives guests access to its swimming pool. It is a great extra, especially during warmer days, although it is worth mentioning that the pool belongs to the other campsite rather than this one. Overall, the location and the possibility of using the nearby campsite’s facilities are definite pluses.

There are several aspects that could be significantly improved, particularly cleanliness and preparation for rainy weather. The cleanliness of the shared bathrooms and kitchen was unfortunately not up to standard. Toilet paper was not regularly replaced, and the spare paper was left exposed to the humidity, so it was often damp and unusable. More generally, despite the area having frequent rainfall, the campsite did not seem particularly prepared for wet weather. We had several rainy days and the humidity inside the tent became extremely uncomfortable, to the point that the bed sheets felt almost wet when we returned. It would be worth considering more weather-resistant and waterproof materials for the tents. The outdoor chairs and armchairs were also left outside during the rain and were not brought indoors, meaning they could not really be used afterwards, with no alternative seating available. In our particular tent, the only lamp provided was extremely weak and barely illuminated the space — the flash on a phone was considerably brighter. There was also not enough space in the shared fridges and cupboards for everyone staying at the campsite. Finally, noise was an issue during our stay. We had to ask other guests to keep the noise down several times, both in the morning and at night. The campsite was otherwise easy to access and enter/leave, but there are definitely several practical aspects that could be improved to make the experience more comfortable.
