Luxury 2 bed at KensingtonHighStreet

The ground level of the apartment which included a kitchen, living area and half bath were very nicely furnished and very clean. Everything you need for a short or long stay is right there! The location was excellent for us and within walking distance to pubs, restaurants or the tube. Our host was very responsive, as well.

Upon arrival, we did let our host know that there were multiple cigarette butts and other trash in the outdoor stairwell/patio. Our host was very apologetic and since this area is not completely covered from the outside, this could have been thrown down from the sidewalk above which would be in no way our host's fault. We just wanted to let them know that we did not do it. I would not recommend this apartment for anyone with mobility restrictions as both bedrooms are downstairs. The master bedroom has a very nice bathroom with a shower/tub combo, however, it is about a 2 foot high step up to get into the tub/shower. While the property is listed as having king sized beds in each room, the second bedroom was definitely a queen sized or standard bed. The shower in the second bedroom had some drainage issues which, unfortunately, ended up getting the floors all wet after our friend showered on the first night. We did let our host know and they were going to check into it, however, we were on an all day excursion and they did not have an extra key to enter the property. As evidenced by multiple dehumidifiers within the apartment, we think the property may have some leaking/drainage issues as two in our group were having quite a bit of allergy issues which cleared up once we moved on to our next scheduled rental. We did have to wash the majority of our clothing at our next rental home in Germany as they all had a musty smell from the basement of the apartment 😞 All in all, our stay here was pretty good. It could be a super nice rental if the drainage or "wet" basement issues get fixed 🤞
