Ein aufwendig saniertes, wunderschönes altes Anwesen mit sehr geschmackvoll eingerichteten Räumen in ruhiger Lage mit herrlichem Garten und Terrasse an der Marne. Mathilde, die Gastgeberin, hat uns sehr herzlich empfangen und mit einem leckeren Frühstück verwöhnt. Jederzeit wieder.

The location is lovely, very peaceful and quiet. Because the building is old, the walls are thick and the room stayed cool even in the heatwave. The bedroom and bathroom are comparable to a luxury hotel. Breakfast was excellent and I had a second coffee on the terrace outside. Chaumont seems like an interesting town, which I could have explored for longer.
While being outside town is great for peace and quiet, there was nowhere to eat nearby (it being August) and I had to drive into town, and then I missed out on wine with my meal. In hindsight I should have taken a taxi.
