Kookaburra Guesthouse

The guesthouse is beautiful. We loved the fully functional, private space it offers and being able to have the dogs stay without any extra hassle is always a bonus we look for so it made it that much better. Having space outside for them was perfect too even though we were only staying for 1 night.

Our only downfall was the noise that comes through from the upstairs guests as the main house above is also an Airbnb - I don’t believe they were aware of the noise travelling down to us. Other than that, we really loved it, such a lovely place to stay

My husband and I weren't cold at all even though it was raining, mid June and coming from Queensland. But for some maybe a heater of some kind

Very nice peaceful location, adequate parking and pretty comfortable. We were very grateful that the hosts were able to accommodate our stay on short notice. Self check in was easy and handy as we arrived after dark.

It’s the ground level of a split use accommodation, guests above us sounded like herds of baby elephants walking around and sometimes playing with their dogs. The strange shower setup means that the water spills all over the floor on the outside and saturates the bath mat. A couple of windows in the bathroom aren’t fully sealed which meant quite a lot of bugs around and we thought the floors were a bit grubby on arrival.

The location is perfect if you want to get away from conventional hotels. The bed was very comfortable and thr rooms are very spacious.

As a new option, there are some areas that need some slight tweaking, however the hosts were very communicative and available when you needed them. With some minor improvements, the property is a good alternative option.
