Residenza il Bruco 1 Wing Apartment - Fast Metro to Milan & San Raffaele

The apartment was centrally located within the old town of Cernusco Sul Naviglio, within a gated courtyard. I received a code for entry which worked fine. The apartment was newly refurbished and clean, a little stark but very spacious, with kitchenette, dining table sofa bed in the lounge. There was a small outdoor seating area if you smoked or the weather was nice you could enjoy your coffee outside. There was a bathroom with shower, good lighting, a hairdryer supplied. Bedroom had a huge wardrobe, probably too big for the use it would get, but I was happy there were plenty of hangers! The bed was comfortable and there was extra blankets if needed. The heating worked well and was simple to use. The kitchen had a full size fridge freezer, coffee machine some coffee pods, tea and sugar, 2 small bottles of still and sparkling water and cooking utensils etc. We could drive to villa fiorita to get the metro to Milan, this was the easiest option if you have a car to park and only took 10 minutes. There are a few good restaurants, cafe etc all walking distance nearby, we were there for a family event and enjoyed our stay and visiting Milan.

A few suggestions for the owner, would be to supply an iron and ironing board, Lorenzo who was hosting was able to lend us his iron, but no board and needed it back the following day! Add a couple of hooks in the bathroom to hang towels. Add a shelf or basket in the shower to place shampoo etc, it's not big so bending down to the floor is not ideal, especially as the amenities on offer were sachets of shampoo and tiny soap bars. We've been travelling around Italy for over a month and most apartments we have stayed would give the basics of salt, pepper, oil and vinegar, if you decided to stay in and cook. There is no free Parking so if you have a car, you will have to move it around a bit if you don't want to pay one euro per hour to leave it for a full day. All the above are personal suggestions to improve the stay for future guests, nothing major. The only thing that spoilt our stay was having the cleaner buzz the door at 10.05am on departure day (Sunday), check out is stated "from 10am" but a 30 minute leeway is usually the norm in most places whether it be a hotel or B&B....Just inform guests they need to be out strictly by 10am sharp! Other than that we had an enjoyable stay.
