If you’re looking for a clean and courteous atmosphere, this is where you want to stay. This place is also brand new and I hope that the staff there will take care of it in many years and decades to come. Every time I go to Fort Walton Beach, destined area, I don’t need to look any other places to stay because their prices are fair also.

I come to the FW/Destin area every month for work and since was a last minute trip the hotel I usually stay didn’t have any room available so I made a reservation at Woodspring. They had just been opened for 8 days and I understand the check in took 30 minutes as something wasn’t working properly. No problem. It was 11:30pm when I was able to go to my room to just find a room completely filthy. The floors in the bathroom covered with hair, no towels, toilet paper almost to the end, urine in toilet seat, shower wall with soap scum, not a little, a lot, hair in the tub. Walked towards the bed and the floor was covered with more hair, long hair. I went back to the reception and when the “manager” came to verify he said it was clean and that himself cleaned the rooms that day. What?!! Are you serious that this room is clean? So I went to check on the bed and omg! The bed was made but sheets were not changed from last guests! It had body signs/fluids on the sheets. This was beyond unacceptable. All I wanted was a clean bathroom and clean bed to sleep for the night after a very long day at work. It was already 12:30am, completely exhausted and they said they didn’t have another room available. I tried to call other hotels and with zero availability in the area I asked for clean sheets for me to change the bed and some cleaning supplies which I was told they were not allowed to handle cleaning supplies to guests. Were was the housekeeping for this place ? The “manager” was trying to check in other guests and obviously zero experience with hospitality industry. The poor lady at the reception tried her best. So I was handed a set of sheets and I went to my car to grab cleaning supplies I had for my cleaning crew. I own 3 residential cleaning businesses and one if them is in Destin. I was in disbelief what was happening. So I was there at 1am washing the bathroom so I could take a shower and changing the sheets for the bed in the hotel room I paid for to spend a night.
