The best place to bookend the day is the large deck, which offers rocking chairs for morning coffee, and four barstools plus a bar with a view for evening sundowners. With several tables perfect for alfresco dining and a gas grill, you’ll probably spend most of your time outside, but inside is just as welcoming.
The open floor plan means the cooks won’t feel left out while they’re whipping up tasty treats in the well-equipped, full kitchen. There are four barstools at the kitchen island, and room for eight more at the adjacent dining table when it’s time to eat.
When it’s time to unwind after a day of exploring, the living room offers comfy couches and chaises you’ll fight over, and a flatscreen TV for all your entertainment needs. Bedtime means your choice of four comfortable rooms, the main suite with a king and three with queens, but the kids are going to love the loft, with four matching twin beds lined up in a row. The location was amazing!! It was just a short walk to the Bayside and you could walk to the Gulf of Mexico side very easily. But the house needs a lot of TLC. Other than the master bed, the mattresses were terrible. The furniture also needs updating. There was no toaster (as listed in amenities), but Vacasa brought one the second day. However, there was a broken fan in one of the bathrooms that never got fixed, and we lacked potholders and any dish towels. Otherwise, we had a wonderful time on Dauphin Island. Especially loved Pirate pizza, the little aquarium, and the bird nature sanctuary.

Check in was easy, kitchen was nice and well stocked. Would have thought more trash bags and paper towels would have been provided. WiFi was terrible but that was only an issue at the end of the day during wind down time. Protruding nail heads on the deck need to be addressed.

We arrived and the code wouldnt work but the automated message helped us out through vacasa(where we booked through) We had to use the hidden key. The property was a good location and very peaceful. A short walk to the inlet and short drive to ocean side. Beautiful views. The furniture was dated and worn but nice. The beds werent the most comfortable. They were dated and so were the pillows. The kids loved staying upstairs in the twon beds and that is where we stayed too because they were too little to be by themselves. The others in the group thought the beds were fine. I went through and looked at bathrooms. I had to do a wipe down of the the toilets. The one shower also had lots of hair on the wall. It could have came off of someone cleaning. The one did have poop on the lid. Some of the towels werent clean. The dryer was full of sand and hair. My 7 year old noticed the dirty floors in the living room. It wasnt too bad but wasn't at all clean. I keep a super clean house so its easy for me to pick apart things. Overall it was a nice stay. We all had a great time. There was an ant infestation but that happens. We had one before we left.
