What's nearby:
This family home sits on Lake Pend Oreille, with opportunities for kayaking, boating, paddle boarding, biking, walking trails, and you can rent boats and jet skis close by or bring your own. Downtown Sandpoint is less than five miles away, offering an array of dining, shopping, and entertainment. Schweitzer Mountain Resort is 15 miles northwest - a great place to go hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding in the summer and skiing and snowboarding come winter. Golfers will also find Sandpoint Elks Golf Course and The Idaho Club within a 15-minute drive. And if you're looking to take the family on day trip, Silverwood Theme Park is about 23 miles away.
Please note: Lake Pend Oreille water levels are controlled by the Army Corp. of Engineers at Albeni Falls Dam. They always have the lake full by the first part of June and start slowly drawing down the water the first week of October. Most years the pool level is within a couple feet of full pool level by Memorial Day weekend which makes our private dock usable. We are hopeful this going to change in the near future for a longer swim season.
Also note their is a train close by if you are really sensitive to train noise.
