This 4 bed 2.5 bath 1900 farmhouse is a dream! It sits on .8 of an acre, in the historic district surrounded by large, beautiful homes from the gilded age of the city. 2 min. from Vassar, close to Marist, IBM, Main St., train & the river, it is in the perfect location. Green park & playground on the block ! Home is elegant and furnished with character. Bedding is 700 thread count, 100% plush cotton towels. Two wood burning fireplaces, living room and sunroom! Families, couples friends- enjoy! Guesthouse may be occupied by one person during your stay, it is 100 feet on other side of parking area, totally private, curtains cover any windows, and backyard is private to you ! We had a great stay at this Poughkeepsie home. It was nicely decorated, well-stocked and clean. The owner was super communicative and responsive. Nice property in a convenient location. We enjoyed the fireplace, comfortable beds and spacious rooms. We would definitely stay again.

The bedrooms and bathrooms were very clean. The linens were very nice on the beds. We appreciated every room had a fan as it was very warm and humid during our stay. In the future I will not stay at a pet friendly rental. We learned to light the candles the homeowner left to freshen up the smell of the downstairs.
