About this house rental
The space
Welcome to the Fern House!
Step outside onto the spacious deck, gather around the fire pit, nap in the hammock and enjoy the calm of the woods that fully surround the property. The open yard provides plenty of room to breathe (not fenced), and we’re happy to welcome one or two well-behaved dogs.
Inside, the home is bright, comfortable, and thoughtfully set up for long-term living. The fully equipped kitchen is both beautiful and functional, opening to the living space for easy everyday flow. The eating area is set-up for four but can easily accommodate six people. The home features 2.5 bathrooms (showers, no tubs).
Sleeping arrangements include:
Primary bedroom with a queen bed and cozy en-suite private bath
Second bedroom with two twin beds
Third bedroom with a full bed
The lower level offers a flexible bonus living space—perfect for work, creativity, and wellness—with an adjustable desk
(standing or sitting), art corner, and exercise equipment (stationary bike, rebounder, and free weights). It's a great space for playing games or quiet reading and the gas fireplace is a cozy addition for cool nights. Laundry and a half-bath are also conveniently located on this level.
The home is split-level, with the bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, and main living room all on the same floor, making daily living easy and comfortable.

Guest access
You have the whole house, deck and yard to yourself. Only one room and the shed are off limits for storage.
Other things to note
While the Fern House offers one-floor living, it is not wheelchair accessible. There are steps from the driveway to the front door and inside it is a split level with steps going up and down. Please be aware of this before renting.
Visit the Amish! Yes you will feel like you are secluded in the woods but you are close to so many things! Right down the road you can buy fresh produce, plants and food at an Amish farm. Fern House is also right down the street from miniature golf, a driving range, and only fifteen minutes from Downingtown with all it's shopping and restaurant options. A few minutes to gas and groceries, and Honey Brook with it's Amish market and pizza places.
